What is Janus Q1:

It is a device that analyzes (reads) DNA sequences using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MR) and microfluidics. We extend a DNA or RNA molecule with nanoparticles and proteins and then read the complete sequence in real time with a compact 4 Tesla device.

Janus Q1 Advantages:

•Compact!

•Cheap, $50 for a genome!

•Fast, analyses that took several days will be completed in an hour!

•No need for preliminary analysis and preparations!

•No need for heavy bioinformatics studies!

•Reads the structure of DNA and RNA in large volumes!

•Does not divide the DNA of chromosomes into fragments!

•The result is not statistical, but is obtained directly from a diagram showing the structure of the molecule. This provides accuracy as high as the Sanger method!Chromosome, Array-CgH and Sequencing will be possible with one analysis

Our technology combines the following:

MR-spectroscopy: uses the magnetic properties of nucleotides for direct reading without chemical labels.

Microfluidics: a chip the size of a penny replaces large laboratories.

Amplification of DNA: magnetic nanoparticles and proteins allow analysis of a single molecule without loss.
